Radial Ripple
Offset grows with distance from the center; the pulse spreads outward in rings, like a stone dropped in still water.
FULLY ON-CHAIN · GENERATIVE · ETHEREUM
A grid of dots, each running the same six-second pulse, but every dot begins a little later than the one before it. Those delays, read together, become ripples, sweeps, and spirals that loop forever. Stored entirely on-chain. No image files. No servers. Just the math, the seed, and the timing.

§01 · MINT
Each mint runs the system once with a fresh seed and renders a unique, animated artwork, composed and stored entirely on-chain at the moment you collect it.

§02 · MECHANICS
There is only one motion in the entire piece. Every dot performs it identically. What you read as a ripple or a spiral is not a shape that was drawn, it is the same pulse, started at a thousand slightly different moments. Drag the control to feel it.
delay(x, y) = f(distance, angle) · period
Every dot runs the same six-second loop: it grows, brightens, then shrinks almost to nothing, and begins again. Identical for all.
Each dot starts that loop at a different instant. The offset is decided by where the dot sits, its distance from the center, its angle, or its position along an axis.
Seen all at once, those staggered beginnings become a wave that travels across the grid and never resolves, because there is no end to a loop, only phase.
Offset grows with distance from the center; the pulse spreads outward in rings, like a stone dropped in still water.
Offset grows along one axis; the pulse crosses the field as a clean diagonal front.
Offset blends distance and angle; the wave winds inward, turning as it travels.
Offset depends on angle alone; the field divides into rotating arms, like a slow pinwheel.
§03 · FIELD NOTES
A single oscillation is the least interesting thing in the world. A dot that brightens and dims is a heartbeat with no body. Its meaning only appears in relation, next to another dot, and another, each a fraction out of step. Phase is that fraction: not what a thing does, but when it does it relative to its neighbors. This collection is built on the conviction that the most beautiful structures in motion are not made of new gestures, but of one gesture, carefully mistimed.
An offset is a decision about lateness. Give the field a rule, be later the farther you are from the center, and rings appear. Change the rule to be later the farther you are along this line and the rings flatten into a sweeping front. The artist designs none of the shapes directly. They design the rule for delay, and the grid obeys, and the pattern is whatever that obedience adds up to. It is a kind of choreography in which no dancer is ever told where to stand, only when to move.
Not a recording of something that happened, a thing that is still happening.
A loop has no destination, so it cannot disappoint. It will not build to a finish it fails to earn. It simply continues, the wave arriving, passing, arriving again, for exactly as long as the chain that holds it endures. To collect one of these is to keep a small, permanent piece of motion: not a recording of something that happened, but a thing that is still happening, every time you look.
§04 · EDITIONS
Six palettes, four modes. Every frame below is a real on-chain render straight from the contract, a free preview of the system's range. Your mint is rolled at random: no collector chooses a token, the chain decides what it becomes.
No editions match that combination yet.
